We've read Little Critter's Dentist Visit book several times and she remembered each part. Critter has a cavity in the book and since I suspected this would be the case with Aerya we talked about how he got it fixed (with a needle and everything!)
The dentist confirmed it is a cavity (with 2 more brewing) and she'll have to go the specialist to have it filled. Aerya was actually disappointed because she didn't get the needle that numbs her tongue.
Because she was such a great girl and sat still while her teeth were examined and polished she got a Barbi doll gymnastics coach.
Unfortunately, she has teeth just like her mom with deep pits in the molars and super weak enamel to boot. Each of my molars have fillings in them and I'm so afraid that hers will be the same. The specialist is going to seal her teeth after filling the one and cleaning the other two. Hopefully this'll help, but any suggestions would help!!
