Christmas Gifts from Madison

Aerya and Maddy exchanged gifts for Christmas and had lots of fun playing together. Aerya recieved some playdoh and tools (which they both tried out) and Madison recieved a book and a Dora sleeping bag.

The kidlings went upstairs to play in the playroom and we could hear them chatting over the monitor. They were having a great time, but then Maddy wanted to go downstairs while Aerya wanted to remain in the playroom. A round of verbal sparring ensued. We were laughing downstairs and then found Aerya cornered in the playroom! It all of course worked out just fine.

Aerya's First Christmas Gift.

We have had to postpone Christmas as Dad has pneumonia and Amber and Patrick have the measles. However, we couldn't let Aerya miss out on all the fun, so she got one present at home this morning.

One of Aerya's favorite pasttimes is playing shopping. When I saw this grocery store I just knew it was perfect for her. It's so cute that she gets the whole Santa concept. When she saw the box (which we forgot to throw out!) she was a bit confused and kept saying "But it's from Santa!" We explained that he did have to get it here somehow and that seemed to satify her. As soon as she saw it, she jumped right into the action. Here she is shopping and being the 'lady' at the cash.

Cleaning up her mess.

Aerya wrote on the floor with her markers so she had to clean it all up herself. The video shows the entire duration of her cleaning - but as she said, it's hard work.

PS - Mr. Clean magic erasors do clean up ALL markers and crayons from walls and floors.

Dance Daddy, Dance!

Aerya loves to sing and dance and will often try to include us. But as you can see, she's a pretty strict teacher!

Man vs. Beast.

You decide who's dominant! LOL!

Future Career?? Photographer.

Aerya is obsessed with cameras. Here are some of her masterpieces. I do detect some real talent in there.
Hopefully someone will get her the camera off her wishlist so that ours don't remain covered in Paddle-prints!

Strider the Savage.

Strider ate one of his toys, then proceeded to consume a yogurt container, a pencil and something that came out blue and green... Obviously I'm as good at supervising dogs as I am children...

Future Job?? TV Repairperson.

Aerya loves to watch TV and unfortunately feels the need to make adjustments to the set. She's forever pressing buttons on the set, though she totally knows better. I'll be upstairs or in another room and she'll start calling me to come to the TV saying it's not working. I'll ask her if she was touching buttons and she'll answer "Sorry Mommy, I touched buttons Mommy. Sorry Mommy." I then fix it and tell her not to touch and while she says she won't, we both know she'll do it at least once more that day. We also then see her surveying her work as she watches Monster's INC. This video is a rare one of her grabbing at the cables. We usually have them tucked away, but after breaking 2 TVs last month (don't ask!) the current one has visible cables.
