Parachute & Swing

Aerya is a total daredevil so the more dangerous, the higher, the faster, the crazier she can go the better.
Here's a pretty tame version of parachute. We've actually gotten her really high, when our arms weren't so tired.
And here's swing. This one is more dangerous because she bounces sideways and doesn't always land in the middle of the blanket.

Up Close and Beautiful

Cutie in Pigtails

Bandaids

Aerya has this fascination with Bandaids. Whenever she thinks of them, she comes running to us to show us an owie that needs one. We've bought every type of bandaid we could find so I guess we're only encouraging her. She gets so excited to put them on, but then rips them off in a couple of minutes. The real problem is that she does this when she really needs one too.

Drawing with Markers

Yes, I did draw on myself. Yes, I know I'm not supposed to. But I'm cute...!

The Cup Washing Saga...

I was doing some work (for Grandpa as Aerya says it) in the office when I heard the distinct sound of water splashing in the bathroom. Being as I had (again) neglected my daughter terribly, I had no idea what she was into.

Okay, washing cups. Sounds harmless enough - even if they are paper cups. I still say that's too much bubbles though.

Apparently the cups still aren't clean enough. All I can see are bubbles but the child can see the microscopic dirt so it's back into the water. (She must be spending too much time with Nikki! LOL.)

So now they need a rinse.

Finally, the cleaning is finished; and what is the end result? A soaking wet bathroom (and Paddles), 4 VERY soggy paper cups (and a soggy Paddles), and a huge sense of accomplishment.

Daredevil full of Energy

Aerya has taken to jumping off of all things. She'll jump from the top of stairs into our arms (whether we are ready or not) off the couch into Dinoworld (you have to watch Treehouse to understand) and anything else she can find. She climbs onto everything and to high as she can possibly get. She has no fear whatsoever.
This video is a clear demonstration of Aerya's regular daytime energy level. Seriously, this is totally normal. She does like to do quiet things as well and is quite good at crafts, but given half a chance she'll run around like a crazy person for any reason.

Mmm mmm good.

Aerya went off to the pantry to find a snack for herself. By the time I'd caught her she'd eaten 3 tablespoons of flax seeds. They started reappearing the next day...

In the Dryer

What? She just got out of the bath and was still wet. How do you dry your kid??

Aerya's Animals

Aerya loves to play and snuggle with all the animals in her life. Sometimes I think she prefers them to humans.

Our Cutie Little Lady

I love these pics with her hair in a ponytail! And obviously, she does too. The first pic is what we get when we ask her to smile. Say cheese works much better.

My Two Trick Or Treaters.

This was Aerya's third Halloween (if you can believe it!) and this time she fully understood the concept of TREATS! She was, of course, still a bit shy but would go to the door and hold out her bag. While she refused to say trick or treat, she did at least say thank you.

Aerya's costume is a poodle that she picked out herself. She had the opportunity to be Horton (her favorite movie) but chose the puppy instead. She talked all week about the costume and would tell anyone who asked what she was going to pretend to be. But on the night itself Aerya would not put up the hood part! She hates having zippers on her neck or velcro so that meant that we could only get a few shots of her in the full costume with the front undone.

Derek dressed up for school this year as Darth Vader. It was a great costume, so great in fact that when he stopped for a slurpee that morning he was asked to take it off!

We carved a pumpkin at Grandma & Grandpa's house which was really fun. Ours is a cat, and the neighbors did incredible ones too.

Hope you like the pics.
